This is a historic photo ... feels a bit solemn to see it again! Today, it is three years since Marina met with Mandy, our first-kitten, and joint projects ... Then had little Mandy survived a tough first period that kitten and had reached four weeks .. Now, three years later, Mandy has become a big handsome male cat, made a name for himself ... And titled: Supreme Ch Yffranes New Moon Rising JW ... and has for much of the year, held the position as Top Cat Show Kat I acc SVERAK. There was probably no one thought ... Well anyway .. we believed the bug all the time ..! 

Having and raising animals are not only care, diet, exercise and pedigrees. There are births and sometimes something goes wrong - even deaths ... The tough, uncertain hand. Mostly, all peace lilies, all animals thrive and doing good. This can last for months, even years, and the most dramatic thing that happens is a tick of the eyelid ... Then it can be times where bad omens come thick and fast. You have to persevere, to never falter for a moment. Our little buddies are depending on us .
And it comes to having a good vet ... A good veterinarian who understands and trust even on my knowledge and experience - it is the issue of cooperation with the animals' best interests at heart . And, where appropriate, be supported by other breeders with extensive experience. Gold worth ! Good is also a practical touch and sense of improvisation . Sometimes it can all hang on to get a big enough hole in a bottle nipple! Tip : forget it there with annealed needle - modern nipples should have a cross in the top; made best with razor blades or scissors ...
Yours Truly has had animals of all kinds - seen and been through the most ... Watched over weak puppies, brought out and in dogs with slipped disks, struggled with cats with old age , tended horses with laminitis, splint together broken turkey wings, fed orphaned guinea pig babies ... This can go on with what seems like forever - if the patient responds to treatment. Then keep you all! You have to wait for the turnaround, the Change, when you see that something is happening for the better. It is just fine to be without sleep for weeks, living on coffee, tea, and aspirine . After a few weeks of vigil with feeding every two hours around the clock, a strange surreal feeling arises ... I think all breeders - at any rate they are of the proper wool - know this. And that is why the old breeders got dark circles around their eyes. People invest emotionally in animals that require extra care. It's shit time to be torn between hope and despair. I have a rule of thumb that works in all situations - if they eat it´s good, if they do not munch it to hell ... The question is how long you can wait - until the "Change " ...

And then - when all efforts have been in vain ... - Then remains to pack up the whelping box, sickbed, all meds ... and clean, clean ! The philosophy : then you have to take care of those who are left behind. Sometimes I wonder what you are doing to? And yet it keeps you on ... It is like the Love that affects blindly and indiscriminately; You have no choice. There is no other way.
