We went to a Show in Solna arranged by Swedish Cat Paws - member of the CFA family which means Cat Fancier´s Association, the American equivivalent ofd FIFe - Fédération Internationale Féline - the international cat organisation
PAW´s mission  is to make Cat Fanciers Association visible in Sweden and to present its different organization, way of arranging exhibitions, and way of judging cats.

This meant American Style - or so Yours Truly gotten it... The main difference is the way of proceedings, the show is highly sponsored, judges are smartly dressed up and very good at handle the exhibited cats and make them present to advantage - all cats were showed in five different rings - so in a way it was five different shows in one...

That kept one on one´s toenails all day, swishing around no end, probably good for the waistline... Maybe you´ll need the famous American energy and fighting spirit for that... before you (and the cat) gotten used to it..

Cat shows often are accused of being tedious and lacking exitements - here it was the other way around..

Interesting to meet with new faces among judges and fellowexhibitors and seeing cats from many countries.

We showed Mandy - our 15 month EXO Boy Ch Yffranes New Moon Rising JW in Novice class... he presented himself well and got nice open critique (nothing in writing) and that blue-red-white ribbon for all five judges... 6 of these entitles to CFA-Champion...

Anyway - this glory has to be postponed for the future as Mandy needs to be registred with the CFA and entered for another show. We all agreed - for the time being...to be completely happy with just one day showing American style... so we did not to go back today...
